Our Response-Ability

Our Response-Ability to the Community

Konik remains passionate about being a vessel for positive
change in our community and strives to give back whenever possible. Our
employees believe in parting with empowering, uplifting nonprofits that enable
their clients to thrive and grow. Since 2020, our Response-Ability Campaign has
given back to organizations that help people return to work, find long-term,
safe housing, and provide holistic substance recovery services. We’re committed
to donating 3% of annual company profits to this campaign.

Konik proudly partners with Hope4Youth, a north metro teen housing
nonprofit that provides transitional housing, basic needs, and job search
assistance to vulnerable young adults. Our CEO, Brad Konik, is an active board
member and spearheads several fundraising initiatives.

Konik is also a proud supporter of Cookie Cart, a nonprofit bakery in
Minneapolis and St. Paul that employs 14-16-year-olds and enables first job
experience, career training, and financial literacy courses. Our President, Tom
Goettl, is a board member who serves on two committees.

Our Response-Ability Nonprofit Partners

Cookie Cart“Baking Bright Futures,” provides urban youth, ages 15 to 18 years old, with lasting and meaningful work, life, and leadership skills through experience and training in a non-profit bakery. The long-term employment readiness impact on enrolled youths includes leadership development, connectedness to new communities, strengthened future goal orientation and enhanced critical thinking skills.

Hope4Youth provides teens and young adults suffering from homelessness with a bridge to stability, housing and educational opportunities.  Founded in 2012 to provide basic needs for unsheltered youth expanded into outreach services and career readiness training.

Join our Response-Ability Campaign

We invite you to join our campaign to impact the future of our neighbors and grow our community one donation at a time. Our goal is to raise $250,000 per year to fund these empowering organizations by December 31st, 2023.

Here are two ways you can help:

1. Open a new direct or contract position with us, and we’ll donate a portion of our profits to our fund.

2. Don’t have an open position? Simply donate directly to a nonprofit above, or contact us to contribute to our Response-Ability fund.
